Black smokey eyes and black lips – Auburn Melton definitely rocked this Halloween garb in style. Upping her creativity using glistening dark eye shadow palette, shimmery highlighter and bluish dark grey lipstick, Auburn proved that a Halloween makeup doesn’t always have to look gory. Her rendition of a “dark princess” look was classy, but at the same time, mysterious, which is perfect for Halloween.
Okay, a masquerade mask ripped off from a face is definitely a Halloween look that is straight from your nightmare. The gore, the blood-soaked skinless face and fleshy mask – the mere sight of it all is downright creepy and yes, it looks excruciating! Candie’s creativity and wild imagination put her on our winners’ list because seriously, this look is genius.
Heather Casey Brown
Pale, scarred skin, bruised eyes and sewed-shut mouth, this Halloween make up and costume by Heather looked horrendously real. It resembles a girl victimized by a psychotic killer and suffered unimaginable torture. The “black-eye” effect made her eyes glisten, which added drama to the whole garb. Heather’s make-up and costume seem simple to re-create, but it makes your imagination run wild. That’s exactly why we love it!
We see this Halloween make-up as an artistic take on a Halloween make-up – it’s so creative! Pop-art or face painting is not only cool, but also clever. We succumb to the fact that a person can only pull this off if she’s talented, nifty and inspired. Hilda’s version of a badass skeleton girl with gruesomely exposed brain and mouth is not easy to crack. She turned herself into a 2d cartoon – very detailed, but not horrific. It’s great that with this look, your fellow Halloween party goers won’t feel disgusted or horror-struck.
Oh yes, Korina Lynn re-created Disney’s most legendary underwater villain – Ursula. It’s amazing how every little detail matches the character. From the purple face and skin, to the purplish-blue eye shadow, to the golden shell necklace and of course, the big black mole near her lower lip. Perfection. What’s great about this Halloween costume is that everyone, from kids to grownups, will instantly recognize Ursula. And what’s great about Korina’s rendition is that she opted for a look that’s stunning and pretty, rather than going for the traditional monstrous and wicked look. Good choice, Korina.
Every Halloween, there’s always a super talented person that can come up with something truly grotesque. It’s not only scary-grotesque, but really creepy, jaw-dropping, out of this world Halloween make up ideas. Like seriously, how could you even look at yourself in the mirror? But hands down to you, Michelle! You are one amazing artist! These gory Halloween make up ideas require special effects and rigorous planning, so we know 100% that these Halloween costumes took an awful amount of time, effort and real talent to make. It’s like we are staring at those evil monsters from horror movies! Good job.
If regular clowns are enough to scare people, the Dark Knight – Joker makes people cringe. He’s crazy and dangerous, and a female version of Joker gives you that same vibe. Some women would rather go for a sexy version of Joker, but Rachelle took the lunatic look. Honestly, it was both striking and daunting, particularly the exaggerated, ripped lips and smudges of dark tint on her cheeks. It’s like she cried her heart out because of frustration and anger, and then laugh about it so hard, she tore her lips. Yes, it’s just us visualizing crazy things. Well done!
Both gorgeous and creepy, Sidney Small perfected the “Queen of Hearts” Halloween make-up. The detail is quite fascinating. From her luscious locks, to pale skin, to the black and red heart across her eyes, to black tears and Chelsea smile, everything looked freakishly flawless. It is sort of telling a story about a beautiful girl who was so in love and became heartbroken. She was tortured with a knife cutting from the corners of her mouth up to her ears, forming a scar in the shape of a smile. She felt she needed to erase this horrid grin, and so she sewed it up together! Insane, huh?
If there’s a Halloween party, you know someone will always dress as a witch. However, a witch make-up can be done in so many different ways. Stephanie Kilborn took the “wicked sorceress” route, and she nailed it. Her pale skin, subtly crooked nose and piercing eyes looked intimidating. It is as if she can cast a spell on you with her enchanting stare. Unlike other witches with green skin and ugly facial features, Stephanie kept her charming looks. For us, this perfect balance is hard to beat.
Vero N Alex Romanenko
Gorgeous and ominous – that’s exactly how we feel about this Halloween makeup by Vero. The skeleton mask was the main focal point of this look, but it still draws your attention to those smoky eyes and perfectly arched eyebrows. Now, although only half of her face was actually painted, we know that a work of art like this was difficult to do. The skills and attention to detail put into adding the right shading and symmetry is something a newbie can’t do. She’s an artist and transforming herself into this look only proves that she’s a make-up goddess. Kudos to you, Vero!
