Missed your period? Do you show signs of pregnancy like tender, swollen breasts and nausea? Do you think that you’re pregnant but not sure if you really are? Well, it is about time that you find out!

If you have been experiencing all these things and you wish to finally determine whether you are pregnant or not, there are plenty of ways on how you can confirm pregnancy. If you wish to find the answer to all your questions, here are some of the simple ways on how you can know if you are pregnant or not.

1. Take a home pregnancy test

This is the easiest way to confirm pregnancy. You can buy these tests at the drugstore and simply follow the directions on the package. Two red lines mean you are pregnant.

2. Do a stored urine test

If you do not have a pregnancy kit at home, you can go for this test. Just collect your urine in a bottle and leave it untouched for 4 hours. If a white substance forms on the surface, there is a chance that you are pregnant.

3. Look out for signs and symptoms

The very first thing that you should do to check if you are pregnant is to look for the following signs and symptoms: missed period, tender and swollen breasts with darkening nipples, nausea, smell sensitivity, urinary frequency, constipation, elevated basal temperature, and headaches.

4. Get a blood test at the doctor’s office

Even though home pregnancy kits are considered to be accurate, the only way to be 100% sure is to take a blood test at your gynecologist’s office. These tests include Qualitative and Quantitative hCG test.

5. Perform the toothpaste test

This is a non-medical way to confirm pregnancy. Collect the first urine of the day in a bottle. Get a small amount of white toothpaste and add the urine to it. Wait for a couple of hours and if the toothpaste changes its color, you might be pregnant.

6. Get a urine test at the family planning clinic

If you wish to get an accurate result, it is recommended that you take this test first thing in the morning a week after a missed period.

7. Undergo Ultrasonography

This test is done at around four and a half weeks after the last menstrual period. In this test, you can be able to view the fetus in your womb and it can tell you how many weeks you already are in your pregnancy.

8. Carry out a bleach test

This is another test that you can do at home if you do not have pregnancy test kit. Just simply collect the first urine of the day in a bottle then add bleaching powder to it. If the urine fizzes and foams, it means you are pregnant.

You do not have to wait for a long time to confirm your pregnancy. These simple ways will give you the answer you need in no time!
