How To Prevent Eyebrow Hair Loss: Causes, Treatment, & Remedies

Today, eyebrow has become everyone’s second crowning glory, especially for the women. After all, it frames our eyes pretty well and plays a major role in how you look and how you make facial expressions. That’s why it does not come as a surprise that women go on full crazy panic mode when they notice some of their eyebrows fall out.

Unfortunately, eyebrow hair loss is a common condition nowadays. But lucky for you, there are plenty of ways on how you can prevent it. These are as follows:

1

Eat a balanced diet.

To prevent eyebrow from falling out, it is recommended that you get enough nutrients in your diet. To get the right amount of vitamins A,C, D and E, you should eat at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruits. You should also include oats, raisins, and bananas as they are rich in silica, which is a nutrient that is vital for hair growth.

2

Do a hot oil massage.

A warm oil massage promotes blood circulation in the skin thereby promoting hair strength and growth. To do this, warm any of these oils. Some of the best choices include castor oil, almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil, amla oil, and onion oil. Choose one from any of these And warm them a little bit (avoid boiling). Using a cotton swab or fingertip, get some oil and massage it on your eyebrow gently.

3

Get enough amount of iron.

Iron deficiency is one of the most common causes of hair loss. This is because the body tends to get the iron it needs from your hair follicles when it does not have enough iron. To remedy that, you should incorporate lentils, broccoli and animal proteins in your diet. If that is not sufficient, consider taking iron supplements too.

4

Use coconut oil as a moisturizer.

When your skin is moisturized, your hair is moisturized as well. One of the best natural moisturizers that you can use is no other than coconut oil as it also supplies the hair the protein it needs. Apply coconut oil on your brows before and after you wash your face.

5

Reduce stress.

Did you know that stress can cause the hair to fall and turn gray? Because of this, it is important that you cut down stress. You can do this by going on long walks, practice a few breathing exercises and do some yoga or any other exercises.

6

Clean and comb eyebrow hair.

Aside from promoting good blood flow, it can also exfoliate hair roots. Both help makes the hair grow stronger.

7

Limit the use of eyebrow makeup.

When applied with too much pressure, those makeup products may lead to hair loss.

8

Avoid over plucking.

Tweezing too much may cause damage to the follicles and the ingrown hair. In addition to avoiding over plucking, you should avoid infections too by cleaning the tweezers with alcohol before and after use.

With the tips mentioned above, you can put an end to the dreaded eyebrow hair loss.
