Winter Skin Care Routine To Keep Your Body Moisturized

Maybe you already have the perfect face care routine but have you ever give some thoughts on your skin care routine for your entire body? Perhaps you haven’t yet, but it is still not too late to do so! Keep in mind that out skin is our first line of defense against infections so we must keep it in tip top condition at all times. To help you do that, here is a simple winter skin care routine that we have designed to keep your body moisturized, healthy and flawless day in and day out.

Get rid of dry skin and cellulite by dry brushing.

Dry brushing offers plenty of benefits including improved skin tone, less visible cellulite, better muscle tone and improved blood circulation. The best thing about this method is that it will take just about 3 to 5 minutes to do. When dry brushing, make sure that you create mini-circular motions from the chest to the feet all the way up to the hips then to the back portion.

Apply a mixture of rose water, glycerin, and lime juice every night to get glowing rosy skin.

Mix 1 tablespoon each of lime juice, rose water and glycerin. Apply this before bath or bedtime, and you will get a rosy glowing skin.

Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

When it comes to rinsing bath products from the skin, your water of choice should be warm or hot water. Not only will it thoroughly remove the residue of skin care products from your pores, but it can also get your blood flowing as well. But before you step out of the shower, make sure to rinse with cold water to close your pores and wake your sense up at the same time.

Keep body moisturized by applying a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice.

Mix equal parts olive oil and lemon juice and apply it to the body at night and rest assured; you will wake up with supple and smooth skin in the morning.

Protect skin from the sun by applying sunscreen.

Although this is already a no-brainer, people still have to be reminded about it. Before you head out, apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 and do not forget to reapply after every two hours. You should also wear sun shades, hats and tightly woven clothing for added protection.

Pat instead of rubbing.

When drying your face and body, pat your skin dry. Rubbing it may lead to skin irritation.

Reduce the size of pores by exfoliating.

One of the most common beauty problems is large pores. The main reason why our pores seem so big is because it is clogged with dust, dirt, oil and other dead skin cells. When you remove all of those, the pores will seem smaller. To get rid of those, exfoliate regularly using products that contain glycolic and salicylic acid.
